Pray, Tech, Slay was built and created by the owner, Monica Maldonado. She had a vision to create and share a unique experience for individuals and organizations who want to be empowered with the tech tools around them.
Pray, Tech, Slay was built and created by the owner, Monica Maldonado. She had a vision to create and share a unique experience for individuals and organizations who want to be empowered with the tech tools around them.
Monica Maldonado earned her Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology with an emphasis on Multimedia and Visual Presentations. Shortly after earning her degree, she became a Technology Teacher for grades PK2 to 8th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Academy, a private school in Corpus Christi. That is where she discovered her love for educational technology. It became her passion and she attended as many professional development opportunities as possible. Through those conferences, she discovered unlimited possibilities for ways to help her school community become tech-forward and elevate their systems. She helped her 1st campus become a Google school. From that point, she quickly became the Director of Technology for the Diocese of Corpus Christi where she was able to share her skills with 13 campuses.

She shared her passion and mission to help the private schools in the Diocese of Corpus Christi all become Google Campuses. She also helped pioneer the launch of integrating Chromebooks in the educational environment and taught online tools on how to enrich teaching and promote digital safety in the classrooms. She continued supporting the schools by launching new technology such as Chromebook management, robotics, 3D printing, maker space tools, digital tablets, virtual robotics, and virtual reality headsets before moving on from the Diocese.
She shared her passion and mission to help the private schools in the Diocese of Corpus Christi all become Google Campuses. She was nominated as a top 3 finalist for the Director of Technology for the year with TCEA, the Texas Computer Education Association, a global and national non-profit organization based in Austin, Texas.

Now, she is focused on her mission of sharing her passion with the world to promote digital safety and empowerment on how to use digital tools to elevate the technology landscape for all.
